The MADnificent and myself fished Anglers Choice East Delta Jan. 8 out of B&W Marina with a total of 8 boats. It was extremely cold lows in 30′s and highs in the low 40′s. Water temp dropped to 46 degrees compared to 52 the last time we were out. Needless to say we knew we were in for a tough bite. We caught three keepers all day with one short fish. We did manage to boat a 6.74 in the last minutes of the tournament to salvage the day. We ended up weighing 10.25. Just short of first place. First place went to Mickey Wall and Ron Andersen(hope thats right)with a total weight of 10.35. They were fishing an area that has come to be known as the Leon Knight Don Davis pond. No one team came in with a limit of five fish so the conditions proved to be tough as advertised. We caught our fish texas rigging small plastics on 1/8 oz weight and wacky worms. Fishing as painfully slow as we could. Until the next one. Keep Rippn!!!
